EXPECTING PARENTS

Expecting Parents

Prenatal Visits
for Niagara Falls, Lewiston, NY; and the Surrounding WNY Area

To help you to become acquainted with us we offer expectant parents the opportunity to schedule a prenatal visit at one of our offices with one of our providers. Topics you might wish to discuss include newborn care, feeding choices, breastfeeding with our lactation consultant, and our approach to illness, immunizations, and routine wellness exams

We suggest as you approach your last trimester, speaking with your physician and OBGYN about when it is appropriate to start scheduling your first rounds of appointments for infant care. In the ladder half of pregnancy, many uncertainties may leave you in a strict resting period where you will not want to be stressing about finding available time slots to seek infant care for your newborn child. This is also a time we wish for expecting mothers and their partners to soak up the last moments before their new child joins them, therefore scheduling your infant care appointments early is a great way to cross off important tasks.

Contact our pediatric offices to learn more or schedule an appointment with our team of specialists and pediatric nurse practitioners! We proudly welcome expecting parents across Niagara Falls, Lewiston, Lockport, North Tonawanda, Grand Island, Ransomville, Youngstown, Wheatfield, Pendleton, Wilson, Cambria, Buffalo, NY; and the surrounding WNY area.

Hospital Affiliations

If you are delivering at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center or Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, one of our pediatricians will see your baby and talk with you each day in the hospital. We typically ask to schedule the baby two to three days after being discharged from the hospital. We believe this early visit is essential to address feeding concerns, while also assessing for jaundice and weight loss and to answer the many questions that always arise with a newborn baby. If you are delivering at one of the other area hospitals the baby will be taken care of by the staff pediatricians and we will see the baby for the first office visit — typically two to three days after discharge.

Pediatric Doctor Visits

New patients will not be seen without a parent or legal guardian present, with legal papers. For later visits, written permission is required if your child is accompanied by a non-legal guardian due to HIPAA regulations.
